Newtown & Llanllwchaiarn Town Council commissioned the local building company, Graham Ottaway Builders Ltd to build new wooden raised flower beds for Severn Square. The project, which follows on from the refurbishment of Severn Square, will also involve local volunteers who will manage the new flower beds.

According to company, the project has been a great success, and the raised flower planters have significantly improved the appearance of the area.
