The out and back course consists of two laps along a scenic route beside the River Severn, with the start and finish line located at the Hafan Y Afon building at the top of back lane car park. The course is run entirely on a mixture of different surfaces. Some sections of the course may accumulate mud, leaves and puddles after rain. Dependent on availability, marshals will be at key sections of the course, or signs will be in place.

Participants must register before their first run, which can be done for free on the parkrun website. It's important to bring a scannable copy of your barcode with you to ensure that your time is recorded. You can register by clicking here.

Newtown parkrun has been a hit with the locals, with over 4,800 finishers and 334 volunteers since its inception.

So, whether you're a seasoned runner looking to improve your personal best, or simply someone looking to enjoy a leisurely stroll along the River Severn, Newtown parkrun has something for everyone.

Just remember to register, bring your barcode, and show up at Dolerw Park Bridge on Saturday mornings at 9:00am to take part in this fantastic community event.
