The grant, funded and administered by Newtown & Llanllwchaiarn Town Council is designed to provide long-term benefits to the community, increase skill and creativity, extend access and participation, and generally improve the quality of life of people in the area.

The grant also supports principles of equal access and opportunity, and it is open to all groups that meet the eligibility criteria. The next application window will be in May 2023.

From time to time, the Town Council may identify "Priority Themes," which will take priority in the allocation of funds.

For May 2023, the council has prioritized applications for "Climate Change & Biodiversity education projects including achieving Welsh Govt 'Bee Friendly' status." However, groups do not have to apply for activities under the priority theme.

To be considered for the May 2023 grant, applications must be submitted by the deadline of midnight on April 30.

Interested groups can contact [email protected] or telephone 01685 625544 to obtain an application pack or discuss their application. Application packs can also be downloaded from the Newtown Community Fund website at https://www.newtown.org.uk/pages/newtown-community-fund.

The Newtown Community Fund has a long-standing tradition of supporting groups that carry out work in the community. It provides an excellent opportunity for community groups to make a positive impact in their area and receive financial support to achieve their goals.
