Get ready to experience the happiest 5K in Powys as the Lingen Davies Colour Run comes to Newtown!

This exciting event promises a picturesque morning of fun at Dolerw Park while raising funds for the Lingen Davies Cancer Fund. Hundreds of participants will embark on a vibrant 5K course, getting doused in a kaleidoscope of color powder at the color stations along the route.

With the goal of supporting those affected by cancer, the event aims to create an unforgettable day filled with joy and generosity.

Participants, both young and old, are invited to join this colorful extravaganza. Organisers have ensured a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. While individuals aged 13 and above can participate for £23, children aged 12 and under can secure their spot for a fee of £8.50. Families can take advantage of discounted rates with several family ticket options available:

  • Family Ticket: 1 Adult & 1 Child for £29 (save £2.50)
  • Family Ticket: 2 Adults & 2 Children for £58 (save £5)
  • Family Ticket: 2 Adults & 3 Children for £66 (save £5.50)

Early birds have the opportunity to snag a discounted entry fee of £20, available to the first 100 adult sign-ups, including those within a family ticket.

Registration for the Newtown Colour Run will begin at 11 am on the day of the event. To ensure a vibrant and cohesive look, all participants will receive a white t-shirt, sunglasses, and a medal as part of their entry fee. These goodies can be collected at the registration booth before the run commences.

While the event promises laughter and color-filled memories, safety remains a top priority. Organisers advise participants that some areas of the course may have uneven ground and unpredictable surfaces, making it unsuitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs. However, families and friends are more than welcome to spectate and cheer on the runners.

Supporting the Lingen Davies Cancer Fund has never been so fun! The Color Run has proven to be a successful means of fundraising, with thousands of pounds raised for the charity to date. The colorful runners' dedication and hard work have significantly impacted those affected by cancer.

Participants are encouraged to raise additional funds through sponsorships. Organizers suggest a target of £50 for adults and £25 for children, but any amount, big or small, will be appreciated and contribute to this noble cause.
