In a Boxing Day clash at Latham Park, Newtown AFC faced a riveting battle against Connah’s Quay.

Unfortunatly they fell short with a final score of Newtown 1 - 2 Connah’s Quay. The match, attended by a dedicated crowd of 405 fans, showcased thrilling moments and late-game heroics.

Newtown's hopes were kept alive by a late strike from Ryan Sears in the 96th minute, injecting suspense into the contest. However, it was Connah’s Quay who seized the advantage with goals from Callum Morris in the 85th minute and Jordan Davies in the 93rd minute, securing their victory.

The showdown marked Newtown's maintaining their 3rd position in the JD Premier table with a total of 33 points.

Looking ahead, Newtown AFC is set to face Bala Town on December 30th.
